NOVENA OF CHARITY AND PRAYER

Dear Global Friends,

Archbishop Palma of Cebu, President of the CBCP, has announced, in the name of the whole Catholic Church in the Philippines, a Novena of Charity and Prayer for all the victims of typhoon Yolanda and the victims of the earthquake that hit central Visayas. The novena will run from 11 to 19 November, 2013; Priests and bishops around the country will be offering masses for this intention. We encourage you to go to Mass for the next few days and join the Church in asking God for mercy and help, through the most holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

However, for those who cannot attend Masses everyday and for our friends overseas, AFCC is offering a Novena of prayers starting TODAY. By this novena, we recognise God's primacy over all things, that He is King over all creation, over calamity, over death and that with His help- and with his help before any other human assistance-our nation will rise again.

PLEASE JOIN US for the next few days, as we spiritually assist those who have been hit by the earthquake and the typhoon. We encourage you to share this announcement and the novena prayers (which will be coming in a few minutes/ hours), and let us get as many people praying as possible. Let us bring our country before God, and 'fix our eyes on Him till He shows us His mercy.' (Psalm 123: 2). Thank you very much.
